Japan’s leading airlines join sustainable aviation fuel body

All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Japan Airlines (JAL) are among 16 Japanese firms that have joined ACT FOR SKY, a voluntary organisation of like-minded companies committed to the commercialisation, promotion and expanding use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Read More » ACT FOR SKY aims to "raise awareness among citizens and companies about the importance of SAF, carbon neutrality and achieving a circular economy", the association said. ANA, JAL, JGC Holdings Corporation and REVO International Inc, as the four founding companies of ACT FOR SKY, will coordinate the activity of other member companies. "ACT FOR SKY will promote and expand the domestic production of SAF, which will lead to the development of an aviation network in Japan and the industry related to SAF production," the new association’s joint statement said.
