The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore has launched its “charter for a strong and positive safety culture in Singapore”. The charter has been signed by about 80 aviation organisations.
All-electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft maker, Joby Aviation, will partner with CAE to develop and qualify flight simulation training devices for future pilots of its eVTOL aircraft.
Maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider, Lufthansa Technik, has reported profit before tax of 134 million euro (US$148.6 million) for the 12 months to December 31, returning to positive territory from a net loss of 539 million euro in the prior year. Revenue rose 6.8% to 4 billion euro, Lufthansa Technik said in its annual report.
New Zealand-based Pacific Simulators has won a contract to supply U.S. airline, Global Crossing Airlines Group, with a Federal Aviation Administration Level 5, NextGen Airbus A320 Flight Training Device. The equipment is scheduled for delivery in June.
Rolls-Royce said the power gearbox for its first Ultra Fan demonstrator engine has been shipped from its facility in Dahlewitz, Germany to the engine test site in Derby in the U.K. Engine testing with the power gear box is planned to start later this year.
