EVA Airways to convert three 777-300ERs to freighters

Read More » The Taiwan-based carrier said the aircraft conversions are due to begin in 2025. The three converted aircraft will lift the Star Alliance member's 777F freighter fleet to 11 and increase freight capacity by about 10%, the airline said. "EVA Air is actively thinking about contingency strategies and re-examining its fleet planning. It also is optimistic about future air cargo market demand," EVA general manager, Sun Jiaming, said. A converted 777-300ER had a maximum cargo payload of 100 tonnes and a cargo volume of 28,000 cubic feet compared with the 777F freighter's 106 tonnes and 23,000 cubic feet, EVA said.
