Taiwan's China Airlines reports 30.8% month-on-month jump in passenger traffic

China Airlines (CAL) flew 22,200 passengers in February, up 30.8%, from 16,966 passengers carried in January. Read More » The February result was 19.4% higher than the 18,589 passengers the SkyTeam alliance member transported in the same month in 2021. Passenger load factor was 16.3% for the 28 days, compared with 13.6% in January and 15.6% in February 2021. The Taiwanese carrier reported passenger revenue of TW$481 million (US$16.9 million) for February, a 5.7% improvement over the TW$455 million recorded in January. In February 2019, CAL carried 1.1 million passengers, had a passenger load factor of 77.7% and generated TW$7.7 billion in passenger revenue.
