IATA AGM moves from Shanghai to Doha

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has shifted the location of its 2022 annual general meeting (AGM) and World Air Transport Summit from Shanghai to Doha due to COVID-19 related restrictions on travel into China. Read More » “It is deeply disappointing we are not able to meet in Shanghai as planned," IATA director general, Willie Walsh, said. "This year’s AGM will be an important opportunity for aviation’s leaders to reflect on the shifting political, economic and technological realities facing air travel as the industry’s recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic gathers pace." The airline lobby group's annual gathering is returning to Doha for a second time. The Qatari capital previously hosted the AGM in 2014. This year's AGM is scheduled for June 19 to June 21.
