Thai Airways International (THAI) said late last week it had taken delivery of two new 777-300ER wide-bodies, registrations HS-TTA and HS-TTB, with a third of the type (HS-TTC) on the way to the carrier from Airbus. Read More » The three aircraft have a 303 seat three class layout: eight in first, 40 in business and 255 in economy. The new arrivals in the airline’s fleet will allow the Star Alliance member to again offer a first class product. It had previously retired or withdrawn all other aircraft in its fleet with the top cabin. "The three aircraft, with the Royal First Class cabin, will help enhance fleet competency and accommodate an increase in air travel demand following the international border reopening," THAI said. The airline noted the 777-300ER was one of the four main aircraft types included in its business rehabilitation plan. The three aircraft have been earmarked for THAI's Bangkok Suvarnabhumi-London Heathrow route that is due to commence at the end of April.
