AirAsia Indonesia restores Denpasar-Perth to regional network

AirAsia Indonesia has resumed nonstop flights between Bali and Perth. Read More » Flight QZ536, operated by A320 PK-AZE, flew its first flight in more than two years on May 15. The aircraft departed Bali a little before 1600 local time, arriving in Perth three and a half hours later. After a 40 minute turnaround, the A320 took off, as QZ537, for the return flight to Denpasar. The LCC has scheduled four flights a week on the route. AirAsia Indonesia president director, Veranita Yosephine, said bookings for travel between Perth and Bali were increasing and added the LCC is expecting to add flight frequency on the route. Perth Airport CEO, Kevin Brown, said AirAsia Indonesia had flown up to three flights a day from Indonesia to Perth pre-pandemic.
