Airport Authority Hong Kong extends fee and rental support package to July 31

Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) said relief measures for airlines and businesses at Hong Kong International Airport will be extended to July 31. Read More » The package includes waivers or reductions in various charges, reduced rents for tenants and concessional rates for aviation support services. AAHK introduced the measures in February 2020 following the outbreak of COVID-19. “Airport Authority Hong Kong continues to support the airport community by extending its relief package for two months to the end of July 2022 in view of the prolonged impact on the aviation industry of the COVID-19 pandemic,” AAHK said. Most retail outlets and restaurants in the passenger terminal have suspended business and their rents have been waived, it added. “The base rent also is waived for businesses that remain open to provide essential services,” AAHK said.
