Air China flags plans for majority control of Shandong Airlines parent

No due diligence, audit, valuation and other related works have been completed,” Air China said in a regulatory filing to the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong. “The company and the counter parties have not signed any transaction agreement in relation to the transaction and the specific proposal of the transaction is still under planning.” Air China holds 49.4% of Shandong Aviation Group and is listed as an associated business in its financial accounts. Shandong Airlines is 22.8% owned by Air China and 42% by Shandong Aviation Group.
