Jin Air to operate 737 MAXs from July

South Korea's Jin Air will begin 737 MAX services next month after its first 737 MAX 8 completes formal induction procedures including an airworthiness inspection. Read More » At press time, the LCC had a fleet of 22 737 NGs and four 777-200ERs. The 777-200ERs, which were suspended from flying in February 2021 after issues emerged with the type's Pratt & Whitney PW4000 engines, resumed operations this week. Jin Air said it had improved the engines based on an airworthiness improvement directive from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration. One of its 777-200ERs is flying Seoul Gimpo-Jeju, Jin Air said, and added its wide-bodies will operate international services from July to accommodate increasing demand.
