Air China reports 1.8 million domestic passengers for May

Air China flew 1.8 million passengers on its domestic network in May, up 36.6% from the 1.3 million passengers it carried in April. Read More » However, the May total was down 78.3% from the 8.2 million domestic passengers the flag carrier flew in the same month in 2021. Domestic passenger load factor for the 31 days was 56.2% compared with 55.3% and 76.5% in April this year and May 2021, respectively. The Star Alliance member introduced three A320neos to its fleet in May and withdrew three 737-800s, three 737-900s, one A330-200 and one A319 from operations. At May 31, the Beijing-headquartered company had 747 aircraft.
