Thai Airways International reports business rehabilitation plan meeting targets

Thai Airways International (THAI) has reported the administrator of its business rehabilitation plan has successfully negotiated with creditors under aircraft operating leases or finance leases, also known as Class 35 creditors, to amend original agreements for seven more aircraft from March 15, 2022 to June 14, 2022. Read More » This brought the total number of aircraft at THAI with a renegotiated agreement to 53. “The administrator is now negotiating on this matter with Class 35 creditors for the remaining four aircraft,” THAI said in a regulatory filing to the Stock Exchange of Thailand. The quarterly update of THAI's business rehabilitation plan, which was approved by the Central Bankruptcy Court in June 2021, said at May 15, 2022, the company had repaid creditors 1.5 billion baht (US$60 million).
