IndiGo and Turkish Airlines switch on delayed codeshare partnership

India's IndiGo and Turkish Airlines have activated a codeshare partnership placed on hold following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Read More » Turkish Airlines will place its TK airline code on IndiGo's Delhi-Istanbul route as well as the Indian LCC’s domestic services from Delhi to Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and Mumbai. “After experiencing two tough years of the pandemic, the airline industry is in a new period that will enable us to recover and improve partnerships,” Turkish Airlines CEO, Bilal Ekşi, said. “We are very happy to see Turkish Airlines and IndiGo reactivate codeshare cooperation with the resumption of flights between Turkiye and India.” Turkish Airlines serves Delhi and Mumbai from its Istanbul hub. “Due to the overall recovery of the aviation industry, this agreement will expand the choices available to our customers for journeys beyond Istanbul, using the extensive network of Turkish Airlines fly to a dozen destinations covered by our agreement,” IndiGo CEO, Ronojoy Dutta, said.
