Bamboo Airways to add second Hanoi-London route with Gatwick service

Bamboo Airways will fly non-stop Hanoi-London Gatwick from October 30, served weekly with 787-9s, the Vietnam-headquartered carrier said. Read More » Bamboo Airways has been flying Hanoi-London Heathrow since March. “Non-stop Hanoi-Gatwick is our next effort in serving the UK market in particular and Europe in general,” Bamboo Airways deputy chief commercial officer, Hoang Ngoc Thach, said. “We hope the sense of hospitality and international five-star oriented services bearing the Vietnam footprint of Bamboo Airways will win the hearts of European passengers as well as the Vietnamese diaspora in the UK.”

In other Bamboo Airways news, Dang Tat Thang, chairman of the airline's parent, FLC, told a meeting of shareholders the carrier aims to have 100 aircraft in its fleet by 2028, up from 29 at press time.
