Air Canada and Emirates Airline cement codeshare partnership

Specific routes have not been announced, but a statement from the two airlines said the partnership will offer “enhanced consumer travel choices” for Air Canada customers to travel to the United Arab Emirates and to destinations beyond the Gulf carrier’s Dubai home hub. Similarly, Emirates passengers will enjoy an “enhanced travel experience” when travelling to Toronto and on to key destinations in the Air Canada network. “This is a significant partnership that will give our customers access to even more destinations in Canada and the Americas via our Toronto and U.S. gateways,” Emirates Airline president, Sir Tim Clark, said. Air Canada CEO, Michael Rousseau, said: “We look forward to introducing the Air Canada codeshare service on key Emirates flights and adding the EK code on selected Air Canada flights.”
