Japan Airlines records 3.3% decline in domestic passengers for June

Japan Airlines (JAL) flew 2.1 million passengers on its domestic network in June, down 3.3% month-on-month from 2.2 million passengers carried in May. Read More » But the June figure was 155.7% above the 820,411 passengers the flag carrier transported in the same month a year ago. The oneworld alliance member reported three consecutive month-on-month increases in domestic passengers before June's decline. Passenger load factor for the 30 days was 56.6% compared with 55.7% in May and 37.4% in June 2021. In pre-COVID June 2019, JAL flew 2.9 million passengers on its domestic network and had a passenger load factor of 72.1%.
