Bangkok Airways reports US$52.8 million net loss

Bangkok Airways has reported a net loss of 1.9 billion baht (US$52.8 million) for the six months to June 30 compared with a net loss of 1.4 billion baht in the same six months in 2021. Read More » Revenue rose 49.3%, to 4.2 billion baht, Bangkok Airways informed the Stock Exchange of Thailand. Total expenses increased by 41.8%, to 5.6 billion baht. The airline has expanded domestic and international flight operations against the same months in 2021. “In the second quarter of 2022, the company gradually increased and arranged flight frequency to match higher travel demand due to relaxed travel restriction and quarantine measures since the beginning of 2022,” Bangkok Airways said.
