Thai Airways International announces US$91 million quarterly loss

Operating revenue jumped 282%, to 21.5 billion baht, THAI told the Stock Exchange of Thailand. Expenses increased by 126.3%, to 22.8 billion baht. The major factor in the recovery of the aviation industry from COVID-19 was the loosening of travel restrictions in many countries, a THAI statement said. This trend had boosted its flight operations and led to increased flight frequencies, it added. “In the second quarter of 2022, Thai Airways International Public Company operated and continuously provided full service on international routes to support the government's policy of restoring the country's economy,” the flag carrier said.
