Malaysia Airports group reduces losses in June quarter

Malaysia Airports Holdings (MAHB) has booked a net loss of 58.2 million ringgit (US$1.6 million) for the three months to June 30 compared with a 226.1 million ringgit net loss in the same months in 2021. Read More » Revenue more than doubled to 689.8 million ringgit, MAHB told the Bursa Malaysia this week. “Although international traffic is in the early stage of recovery, at 30% of pre-COVID-19 levels, the encouraging trend in load factor engenders optimism that long-haul traffic is gradually gaining momentum.” Moody's Investors Service had revised its outlook for the company from negative to stable, it added “This is a positive development for the group. The efforts taken to strive for operational excellence and efficiency coupled with prudent financial management is starting to bear fruit after a very challenging two years,” MAHB managing director, Dato’ Iskandar Mizal Mahmood, said.
