China Airlines orders 16 787-9s

Read More » The 787-9s will be powered by General Electric GEnx engines with deliveries to start from 2025. CAL said the order includes options for eight more 787s and substitution rights for the larger 787-10. “China Airlines embarked on its wide-body passenger aircraft replacement program in 2018, but evaluations were pushed back in 2020 due to COVID-19,” the SkyTeam alliance member said. “With the pandemic easing and the global passenger market improving, the [fleet] evaluation and introduction process resumed in September 2021.”
