Virgin Australia and Qatar Airways partnership takes off

Read More » The alliance, announced in May, includes code-sharing between the two carriers on each other's flights, cooperation in a range of areas and reciprocal frequent flyer benefits. “We are continuing to deliver on our promise to grow our international network. From today, our guests will have direct access to more than 150 destinations in the Qatar network, including more access to the Middle East, Europe and Africa than we have offered in the history of our airline,” VA group CEO, Jayne Hrdlicka, said. Qatar Airways group CEO, Akbar Al Baker, added: “Unlike other airlines, we were determined to keep flying to and from Australia during COVID, to return desperate people home and keep businesses connected to the world. Now we have strengthened our presence even more in cooperation with our good friends at Virgin Australia.”
