Embraer bullish on E2 regional jet’s prospects in Malaysia

Read More » Villaron said there is an opportunity for 100 new routes with regional jets such as its E2. “As travel demand recovers, we see unique opportunities for Malaysia to enhance its connectivity domestically and regionally,” Villaron said. The Brazil-headquartered air framer forecasts Malaysia will need 150 new aircraft with up to 150 seats in the next 20 years. The regional jets will complement larger narrow-bodies, help launch routes and grow frequencies on existing routes, Embraer said. Currently, no Malaysia-based airlines operate Embraer E-jets.
