Japan Airlines posts 12.4% increase in domestic passengers for August

Japan Airlines (JAL) flew 2.8 million passengers on its domestic network last month, up 12.4% month-on-month from the 2.5 million customers flown in July. Read More » The August figure was 132.5% higher than the 1.2 million domestic passengers JAL carried in the same month in 2021. The oneworld alliance member's August domestic load factor was 67.7%, an increase of five percentage points from 62.7% in July and up by more than 30% from 44.7% a year earlier. Compared with pre-COVID-19 levels, JAL's August 2022 domestic passenger total was 84.6% of the 3.3 million passengers it transported in August 2019.
