China Southern Airlines announces a 70% jump in domestic customers

China Southern Airlines (CSA) carried 7.7 million passengers on its domestic routes in August, up 70% from the 4.5 million in-country passengers flown in the same month in 2021. Read More » Despite the strong year-on-year improvement, the August result was down 8% from the 8.4 million domestic passengers CSA flew in July. Domestic passenger load factor for the 31 days was 69.1% against 60.4% and 70% in August 2021 and July 2022, respectively. In pre-pandemic August 2019, CSA flew 12.2 million domestic passengers and had a passenger load factor of 86.2%.
