Boeing reports 30 commercial aircraft orders in monthly monitor

Boeing logged firm commitments for 30 aircraft in August, lifting the company's gross orders for the first eight months of 2022 to 446. Read More » Net of cancellations and conversions, its order book stood at 338 aircraft on August 31, up from 312 airplanes at July 31. Boeing delivered 35 aircraft in the 31 days, including a 787-9 to Lufthansa and a 787-10 to Air France-KLM Group. The two airplanes were the first 787s handed to the OEM’s customers for more than a year. In June 2021 deliveries of the type were paused as Boeing worked through a 787 manufacturing issue. The August figure was an improvement for the air framer from a low of 26 commercial aircraft accepted by airlines in July. Boeing has delivered 277 aircraft to customers in the first eight months of 2022.
