Malaysia Airports group highlights recovery in international flying

Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) said 62%, or 55 out of 89 foreign carriers, had resumed flying into its five international airports - Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Langkawi and Penang. Read More » International passengers processed through Malaysia’s airports rose 7.1% month-on-month, to 1.7 million customers in August, MAHB said. “Other than a resumption of flights and the introduction of new routes, factors that contributed to the increase were Saudi Arabia’s relaxation of visa requirements that resulted in more Umrah flights and the easing of travel entry requirements for foreign visitors to Malaysia,” MAHB said.
