Inaugural Auckland-New York JFK nonstop service takes off

Air New Zealand (Air NZ) has commenced commercial operation of the fourth longest nonstop flight - Auckland-New York JFK – in the world. NZ2, flown by 787-9 ZK-NZN, departed Auckland a little after 1600 hours local time on Saturday and landed 16 hours and 15 minutes later at New York’s JFK airport.
