ZIPAIR Tokyo will commence nonstop Tokyo Narita-San Jose on December 12. The LCC, owned by Japan Airlines (JAL), will fly the route three times a week with 787-8s. Read More » San Jose, in northern California, will be ZIPAIR’S second U.S. gateway after Los Angeles. “ZIPAIR’s unique business model provides customers with a convenient travel option at an affordable price, which has been one of our main objectives since the establishment of the company,” the LCC’s president, Shingo Nishida, said. “With our new nonstop service to the Bay Area, we look forward to welcoming travellers back to Japan.” Mineta San José Airport director of aviation, John Aitken, said the route will be the “first low-cost trans-Pacific service between the Bay Area and Asia”.
