Starlux debuts on Taiwan exchange

Starlux Airlines has commenced trading as a listed company on Taiwan's Emerging Stock Board today at NT$12 (US$0.37) a share and with paid-in capital of NT$18.1 billion. Read More » Founder and chair, Zhang Guowei, said Starlux will have 13 A321neos, four A330neo and two A350-900s in its fleet by year-end. Flights are planned to double by the fourth quarter of the year compared with the third quarter. Starlux CEO, Glenn Chai, told Taipei media the airline is considering the acquisition of freighters for air cargo services. The carrier is forecast to report its first annual profit this year, almost five years after it was set up in 2018.
