Read More » “Every day millions in services, hidden champions behind the scenes, keep our global fleet of aircraft flying,” Airbus executive vice president of programmes and services, Philippe Mhun, said. “Alone the number of pilots, cabin crew and maintenance specialists are forecast to grow by another two million by 2041. Accelerated digitalisation of operations and maintenance and a higher proportion of the latest generation aircraft in service will lead to a massive requirement for new skills and job creation, leveraging new tools and ways of working to increase our sector’s efficiency, reduce fuel consumption and emissions.” The GSF also said the services market will grow from US$95 billion today to about US$230 billion in 2041.
