Cathay Pacific builds capacity after Hong Kong eases quarantine restrictions

Read More » “As Hong Kong and the world open up, we are looking forward to the recovery and the return of international travel,” Tang said in an email to Cathay Pacific frequent flyers. “We are adding flights as quickly as we can to make Hong Kong a global aviation hub once more and to help you travel and explore.” Tang repeated it would “still take time to rebuild to our full capacity” and thanked members for staying with the airline. “I know how frustrating it has been to be faced with flight cancellations and long wait times on our hotlines,” Tang said, and added the airline is extending the current status of its frequent flyers to December 31, 2023. The oneworld alliance member has made 70,000 seats available this month for redeemed flights. To date, 16,000 seats have been booked on “Miles Flights” where every seat is available for redemption.
