Air New Zealand launches retail bond offer, aims to raise US$56 million

Air New Zealand (Air NZ) said this week it will raise up to NZ$75 million (US$56 million) from the sale of 5.5 year, unsecured, unsubordinated, fixed rate bonds that will mature on April  27, 2028. Read More » The bonds will be offered to institutional investors and New Zealand retail investors with the interest rate set at a minimum of 6%. Air NZ said it had discretion to accept over-subscriptions to another NZ$25 million. The offer will close on October 20. Proceeds will be used for general business purposes, including repayment of NZ$50 million of unsecured, unsubordinated, fixed rate bonds maturing on 28 October, the airline said.
