Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA)’s Sky Bridge, a 200-metre walkway linking Terminal 1 and the T1 Satellite Concourse has been welcoming air travellers since November 1. Read More » Towering 28 metres above an active taxiway capable of handling A380s, the Sky Bridge “aspires to be the iconic feature at HKIA”,” the airport operator said. Airport Authority Hong Kong executive director of engineering and technology, Ricky Leung, added: “Sky Bridge is a part of our efforts to renew and enhance the passenger experience at HKIA. Together with other upgraded airport facilities, we look forward to welcoming passengers from around the world.” An observation deck, food and beverage outlets and retail shops are planned for the walkway.
