Virgin Australia (VA) has returned to New Zealand after almost three years with nonstop flights to Queenstown from Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. Read More » The Australian carrier is operating daily from Brisbane and Sydney to the popular destination on New Zealand’s south island and four times a week from Melbourne. VA group chief strategy and transformation officer, Alistair Hartley, said the Melbourne service will increase to daily between December 12 and January 29, 2023. “We are seeing strong demand across our international network over the Christmas school holiday period,” Hartley said. “We are excited to be back on the arrivals board in Queenstown and look forward to providing travellers with more choice.”
