Star Alliance and HSBC Australia have launched a credit card in Australia, issued by Visa that can earn points with the frequent flyer programs of seven member airlines - Air Canada, Air New Zealand, EVA Airways, Singapore Airlines, South African Airways, Thai Airways International and United Airlines. “Star Alliance is delighted to launch this industry first loyalty product with HSBC and Visa,” Star Alliance CEO, Jeffrey Goh, said. “It is very much consistent with a key strategy of Star Alliance to offer a loyalty proposition that others talk about.”
