United Airlines to add third nonstop U.S.-Tokyo Haneda route to network

United Airlines (UA) will launch three times a week nonstop New York Newark-Tokyo Haneda on January 6, operated with 777-200ERs configured with 50 business, 25 premium, 46 extra legroom economy and 156 economy seats. Read More » The Star Alliance airline intended to open the route from March 29, 2020, but postponed the launch after the pandemic outbreak. Currently, UA flies nonstop to Haneda from Chicago and San Francisco. The U.S. carrier also serves Tokyo Narita from Houston, Los Angeles, Newark and San Francisco and is scheduled to resume nonstop Osaka Kansai-San Francisco from January 7. All of UA’s U.S.-Japan flights are flown in partnership with All Nippon Airways.
