AirAsia X to add fourth destination to Australian network

Malaysia-based AirAsia X (AAX) is headed back to Queensland’s Gold Coast from February 15 with nonstop Kuala Lumpur flights to the popular tourist region. Read More » The LCC will serve the destination three times weekly with A330-300s equipped with 12 premium lie-flat seats and nine abreast 365 economy seats. “We are thrilled to be coming back to the stunning Gold Coast as the first and only low-cost carrier flying direct,” AAX CEO, Benyamin Ismail, said. Kuala Lumpur-Gold Coast was AAX's inaugural flight when it commenced commercial operations in November 2007. It also serves Kuala Lumpur to Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
