Hong Kong Airlines creditors accept its debt restructuring packages

Hong Kong Airlines said creditors have approved the company's proposed restructuring and a scheme of arrangement for debt settlement at several meetings on December 1. The matter was listed for a U.K. court hearing on December 9 and a Hong Kong court appearance on December 14. Last September, Hong Kong Airlines applied to the High Court of Hong Kong and the High Court of Justice of England and Wales for approval of a US$3.863 billion debt restructuring.
