Cebu Pacific's Gokongwei steps back as CEO to become company chair

Cebu Pacific said Lance Gokongwei will exchange his role as CEO of the largest airline in the Philippines for the chairmanship of the carrier. Read More » Chief executive adviser, Michael Szucs, will succeed Gokongwei and chief commercial officer, Alexander Lao, will add the tasks of airline president to his responsibilities at the LCC group. The leadership shifts will take effect on January 1. “We are making these changes to adapt to the evolving operating environment, strengthen our position and drive value for all our stakeholders,” Cebu Pacific told the Philippines' PSE stock exchange.
