Virgin Australia's frequent flyer program hits new high of 11 million members

Virgin Australia’s (VA) Velocity frequent flyer program has signed up its 11 millionth member, the equivalent of one member of every Australian household, VA said. Read More » Velocity Frequent Flyer CEO, Nick Rohrlach, said reaching 11 million members was a huge milestone for the program. “The sheer volume of initiatives we have been able to stand up, which have contributed significantly to our growth, is testament to our people at Velocity, our incredible partners and the loyalty of members choosing to fly with us.” Average points earned per member per month had doubled since January 2022, a VA statement said. VA rival, Qantas Group, recently announced its frequent flyer program had 14.1 million members.
