Today's people news reports an Airbus board appointment and the resignation of the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia’s CEO. Read More »

The Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) said Chester Voo had resigned and would step down on December 31, 2022. Voo had “expressed his intent to shorten his tenure as the CEO” in October 2022, the regulator said. “The authority fully understands and respects his request. After careful consideration, the authority requested his departure from CAAM be deferred to December 31, 2022. This postponement will allow CAAM to conduct a smooth transition and handover to the eventual successor of Voo,” CAAM said.

Airbus has announced Tony Wood has joined the OEM’s board as a non-executive director. Wood replaces Lord Paul Drayson, who has retired. Airbus shareholders will vote on Wood’s appointment at next year’s annual general meeting.
