China reports 80% increase in Lunar New Year air travellers

The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) said the country's airlines flew 9 million passengers in the Spring Festival holiday that runs annually from Lunar New Year Eve until the sixth day of the New Year. Averaged passenger load factor rose 20 percentage points to 76%, the CAAC said, and averaged daily commercial airline flights increased 33.6% to 11,977.
