Garuda Indonesia faces legal bid to cancel restructuring plan

Garuda Indonesia CEO, Irfan Setiaputra, said the airline is continuing to work through its restructuring program even as two aircraft lessors reportedly have sought court approval to scrap the agreement reached with other creditors late last year. Read More » Reuters news agency wrote this week that Greylag Goose Leasing 1410 and 1446 had filed applications in an Indonesian court to declare Garuda bankrupt and to cancel the airline’s restructuring. Setiaputra said Garuda will study the application, but said an overwhelming majority of creditors had approved its restructuring strategy.
