Greater Bay Airlines (GBA) is owned by Hong Kong property tycoon, Bill Wong, who has invested heavily across the border in Mainland China. Read More » He also owns Shenzhen-based Donghai Airlines. Wong has pledged to invest US$258 million in the Hong Kong start up. It was an opportunity aimed at stepping into a market previously served by Cathay Pacific Airways subsidiary Cathay Dragon. The 35-year-old regional carrier shut down in 2020.

GBA’s origins go back to Donghai Airlines in Shenzhen. In May 2010 Wong set up essentially a shell company in Hong Kong, also called Donghai Airlines.

Donghai in Shenzhen operates under China Civil Aviation Administration regulations while GBA is bound by the regulations of the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Authority. GBA received its first aircraft, an ex-Norwegian Air International Boeing B737-800 from ICBC Financial Leasing, later taking two more of the type from the same source. Its first charter flight was a same day round trip from Hong Kong to Bangkok, following the issuing of an Operator’s Certificate. Its first scheduled passenger service, also to Bangkok, took place on July 23, 2022.

I had a couple of things happen in 2021 that caused me to get extremely behind on several bills. I had about 3 credit cards end up in charge-off status. Only one of those cards was ever sent to collections and I have since paid this before the collection ever hit my credit. 2 of the cards were through Capital One. 1 of the 2 were sent to collections. The unpaid one has been referred to an attorney and kept in house, although I received documentation that the attorney was dropping the lawsuit against me. I was in the process of purchasing a house and they were something that was hurting my credit. First time posting here. I had to relocate back to my state after I took a job in another state that didn’t work out in 2017. My credit card profile was as follows; Opensky opened 2 years 3 months no late payments 209 out of 300 used. Credit one opened 1 year 11 months no late payments 560 out of 600 used. Destiny card opened 1 year 6 months no late payments 0 out of 300 used. Avant card opened 9 months no late payments 0 out of 300 used. Prosper opened 3 months with no late payments 350 out of 1000 used. Capital one platinum opened 1 month (new card) 400 out of 2000 used. I also had student loans for 6k together that are reaffirmed with the advantage. Not sure if reaffirmed is the right word. And my credit took a horrible hit. I’ve been rebuilding since 2022 which I didn’t come out with any positive result. In Oct-Nov I rented a storage unit from public storage with the intention of it being held for a month. In December I left for vacation. The situation changed during that time so I would need it for 3-4 months. My business partner assumed I had payments handled, I assumed it was handled or on autopay and everyone just forgot about this unit that I stupidly opened under my personal name. It’s been years since I’ve made a careless mistake like this, and I was really looking forward to getting my credit back to standard. Hi all! I’m 29 years old. My credit started to tank around 2021 when expenses were outpacing my income. I got a lot of loan offers and foolishly took them, adding more expenses to my income. Hello everyone! Ok…I’ll try to shorten this as best I can. After many years of marriage, I finally got divorced about three years ago. My ex-wife had major spending issues. I applied for a business loan and surgery loan for my daughter’s health early February, condition I was told I would be considered and contacted but never got to hear from any of the lenders.
