Japan Airlines completes “transition-linked loans” to purchase two A350-900s

Japan Airlines (JAL) said it is the first airline in Japan to complete a “transaction-linked loan”; financing that supports borrower companies acting to reduce CO₂ emissions. Read More » JAL said the 26.5 billion yen (US$194 million) Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) loan will fund the purchase of two fuel efficient A350-900s. “Through this loan, JAL will introduce fuel efficient equipment and JBIC will provide financial support,” the airline said. “The two companies will steadily promote efforts to realise JAL’s 2050 net zero CO₂ emissions target.”
