South Korea and China to restore bilateral air traffic rights to pre-pandemic levels

South Korea and China have agreed to return available traffic rights for the airlines of both countries to pre-COVID-19 schedules, South Korea's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) has announced. Read More » South Korea and China airlines have traffic rights for 608 flights a week compared with 1,100 flights weekly pre-pandemic, the MOLIT said. Airline services between South Korea and China are expected to expand during the northern hemisphere summer; a schedule that operates annually from March 26 to October 28. MOLIT director general of aviation policy, Kim Yeong-guk, said the agreement with China will help address air passenger expansion between the two countries and support South Korea’s domestic market.
