All Nippon Airways to use blended SAF for flights out of Tokyo’s airports

All Nippon Airways (ANA) has reached agreement to use sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) blended in Japan by ITOCHU Corporation for several services in its network. Read More » The SAF project is a public-private initiative led by the Civil Aviation Bureau of Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT). The SAF will be used on the Star Alliance member's domestic and international flights from Tokyo's Haneda and Narita airports. It is part of the airline’s efforts to replace at least 10% of its jet fuel with SAF by 2030 and be a carbon neutral carrier by 2050. Neste will manufacture the SAF solution blend, ANA said.
