Cathay Pacific Group and State Power Investment Corporation to commission four SAF plants in China

Cathay Pacific Group has agreed a MoU with State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC) to develop four sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) plants in China between 2024 and 2026. Read More » Each facility will have the capacity to produce 50,000 tonnes to 100,000 tonnes of SAF a year. “Under the MoU Cathay Pacific Group will share international experience and feedback on the SAF certification process, value chain and overall market know-how to facilitate SPIC in the successful establishment of four SAF plants in the Chinese Mainland,” CEO Ronald Lam said. SPIC chair, Qian Zhimin, said: “The signing of our cooperation pact is an important milestone in SPIC’s sustainable development pursuits and a significant contribution by a Chinese enterprise to sustainable development in the global aviation sector.”
