Vietnam’s Vietjet touches down in Sydney after inaugural flight from Ho Chi Minh City

Read More » Flight VJ85, operated by A330-300 registration VN-A811, landed at Sydney International Airport earlier this week almost nine hours after departing from Vietnam’s biggest metropolis. The LCC's arrival in the harbour city followed its first flight to Melbourne Tullamarine on April 9. It will serve both Australian cities three times a week and also launch Vietnam to Brisbane in June. “Australia plays an important role in our business strategy,” Vietjet vice president, Nguyen Thanh Son, said. Vietjet is one of four airlines flying from Melbourne and Sydney to Ho Chi Minh City alongside Bamboo Airways, Jetstar and Vietnam Airlines.
