China Eastern Airlines increases Mainland passengers by 4% in March

China Eastern Airlines (CEA) carried 7.9 million domestic passengers last month, from 7.6 million passengers in February and 219% higher than the 2.5 million domestic passengers the airline flew in the same month in 2022. Read More » Domestic passenger load factor for the 31 days was 71.2%, slightly down from 73.7% in February but a big jump from 60% in March 2022. Compared with pre-COVID-19 levels, the SkyTeam alliance member's March 2023 domestic passenger total was 89% of the 8.9 million CEA in-country customers carried in March 2019. Domestic capacity, or available seat kilometres, was 112% against the same month four years ago.
